Meet Dr. Kim Crowe
Owning my own veterinary hospital has been a dream of mine since I was nine years old. It is so wonderful to be able to return to the town where my family lives, and to help maintain the health of the animals here. We have an experienced staff who show every day how much they love their jobs and the animals the care for.
I was born and raised in New York. I moved to Iowa to attend Drake University where I majored in International Business and German. My family moved to Fountain Hills while I was in college. After two years at Drake, I transferred to Arizona State University for two years and changed my major to Biology. I then moved back to Iowa where I worked for the U.S.D.A., Veterinary Services Laboratory testing vaccines. I took two years off from school and drove tractor trailer trucks across the country. I later attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received my doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1995.
After graduating veterinary school, I returned to Arizona, where I have worked at Tri-City Veterinary Hospital in Tempe, The Emergency Animal Clinic, and Phoenix Dog, Cat and Bird Hospital in Phoenix. I also did relief work for nearly ten years, filling in so other doctors could take time away from their practices for vacations, continuing education classes, meetings, and seminars. Then I decided it was time for me to fulfill my dream of owning a practice!
I have three children; Alex, fifteen, Andrew, twelve, and Alyssa, nine. I love to travel with my family and really enjoy northern Arizona. I have four cats; Iaha, Cayenne, Traviessa, and Abine' and one dog named Shep.
My daughter, Alyssa, has promised that after she becomes a veterinarian and takes over the practice she will still allow me to work for her.
